As residents of the MLK, Pine, Pine River, Pine River Estates, Arlington Estates, Forest Park, Marc Drive, Spruce Street and surrounding areas, we would like to raise our concerns regarding the traffic situation in our neighborhood.
Currently, the only direct route from Cedarbridge Ave. to Pine St. is through MLK Dr.
Given the volume of traffic at the intersection of Pine St. and MLK Dr., specifically at peak traffic hours (8:30-9:30 AM, 1:30-2:30 PM, 3:30-4:30 PM), we find ourselves spending too much time sitting in traffic. The busy two-way traffic on Pine Street creates a tremendous accumulation of vehicles on MLK Dr. attempting to cross Pine St. or make a left turn on to it.
Obviously the most effective solution would entail opening Vine Street as another direct route from Cedarbridge Avenue to Pine Street. This would serve as an alternative through-way and would relieve a lot of the traffic congestion on MLK Dr.
